Aşura günü sabahı

Namaz, Kur'an ve zikirle geçirilen gecenin sabahında, sabah namazının kılınmasının ardından, İmam Hüseyin (a.s.) arkasındaki cemaate şöyle hitap etmiştir:

"Allah-u Teala, bugün benim ve sizin ölümünüze müsaade etmiştir, öyleyse direnin, düşmana karşı savaşın ." 

Artık savaşın kaçınılmaz olduğu kesinlik kazanmıştı. Verilen mühlet sona ermiş ve ordu saldırı pozisyonunu almıştı. Bu anda Rabbine yalvaran İmam Hüseyin (a.s.) ellerini açtı ve şöyle yakardı:

"Allah'ım! Her kederde benim güvencem Sensin. Her zorlukta benim ümidim Sensin. Karşıma çıkan her meselede benim güvencem ve donanımım Sensin.

Kalbi zayıf düşüren, insanı çaresiz bırakan, dostların bırakıp kaçmasına ve düşmanların şamata yapmasına neden olan nice felaketleri, başkasından yüz çevirip Sana yönelerek, Sana sundum, Sana şikayet ettim. Sen de beni bu felaketlerden kurtardın, bana çıkış yolu gösterdin. Her nimetin velisi, her güzelliğin sahibi ve her arzunun mercii Sensin." 

Ölüme hazır olan ashabına da şöyle seslenmiştir:

"Ey Kerimzâdeler! Sabırlı olun, ölüm sizi sıkıntı ve mihnetten geçirip, geniş cennet ve daimî nimetlere ulaştıran köprüden başka bir şey değildir.

Hanginiz zindandan saraya gitmeyi sevmez? Halbuki ölüm düşmanlarınız için saraydan zindana ve azaba intikal etmeye benzer.

Babam, Resulüllah (s.a.v.)'den naklen şöyle buyurdu:

"Dünya mü'mine zindan, kâfire ise cennettir. Ölüm, mü'minleri cennetlerine, kâfirleri ise cehennemlerine ulaştıran bir köprüdür. Ne yalan duymuşum ve ne de yalan konuştum." 

Ordular düzenleniyor

İmam Hüseyin (a.s.), ashabına sabah namazından sonra yaptığı konuşmanın ardından artık savunma hattını oluşturmaya başladı.

Ordunun sağ kanadını Züheyr bin Kayn'a, sol kolunu Habib bin Mezahir'e, sancağı ise kardeşi Abbas'a verdi. Geri kalan ev halkını ise kendisi ile beraber merkezde topladı.

İmam'ın, ordusu için bu hazırlıkları yaptığı sırada, Ömer bin Sa'd komutasındaki onbinlerce kişilik ordu da saldırı pozisyonuna geçmişti. Bu manzarayı gören İmam Hüseyin (a.s.) ellerini Cenab-ı Hakka açarak şöyle yardım diledi:

"Allah'ım! Her gam ve kederde sığınağım, her sıkıntı ve zorlukta ümidim ve her musibette güvendiğim Sensin. Kalpleri tazif eden, kurtuluş yollarını kapatan, dostları kaçıran ve düşmanları sevindiren nice gam ve musibetler vardır; başkalarından ümidimi kesip Sana yönelerek onları Sana şikayet ettim."  

Ömer bin Sa'd'ın ordusuna sesleniş

Ömer b. Sa'd'ın ordusundakilerin hâli şöyle idi: "Hepsi, Hüseyin (a.s.)'ın kanını akıtmakla Allaha yaklaşacaklarını zannediyorlardı." 

İki tarafın da son hazırlıklarını yaptığı bir sırada İmam Hüseyin (a.s.) karşısındaki insan seli orduya tekrar nasihatte bulunmuştur.

Kendi çadırlarından uzaklaşarak karşısındaki düşman askerlerine yaklaşmış ve onlara atının üzerinde şu uyarıları yapmıştır:

"Ey insanlar! Beni dinleyin; üzerime düşen sizlere öğüt ve nasihatimi dinlemedikçe ve bu bölgeye gelmemin sebebini öğrenmedikçe savaş hususunda acele etmeyin.

Eğer delilimi kabul edip, sözümü tasdik eder de bana karşı insaflı davranırsanız, saadet yolunu bulursunuz, artık benimle de savaşmaya hiçbir sebep kalmaz.

Eğer delilimi kabul etmezseniz, daha sonra yaptığınız işin gam ve üzüntünüze sebep olmaması için de ortaklarınızı  bir araya toplayıp düşünüp taşının ve hakkımda aldığınız kararı uygulayın. Bana göz açtırmayın.

Şüphesiz benim yardımcım Kur'an'ı indiren Allah'tır. Sâlih kulların yardımcısı da O'dur." 

İmam Hüseyin (a.s.) daha sonra Allah'a hamd etti; Resulüllah (s.a.v.)'e salat ettikten sonra sözlerine şöyle devam etti:

"Şimdi benim soyumu araştırın ve bakın ben kimim? Sonra vicdanınızla baş başa kalın ve nefsinizi ayıplayın. Bakın bakalım beni öldürmeniz sizin için uygun mudur?

Ben Peygamberinizin (s.a.v.) kızının oğlu değil miyim? Peygamberinizin (s.a.v.) vasisi, Resulüllah (s.a.v.)'in Allah katından getirdiğini ilk tasdik eden, ilk mü'min Ali (a.s.)'ın oğlu değil miyim?

Şehitlerin efendisi Hamza benim amcam değil mi? Resulüllah (s.a.v.)'in benim ve kardeşimin hakkında, "Şu ikisi cennet gençlerinin efendileridir" dediğini duymadınız mı?

Eğer benim dediklerimi doğruluyorsanız -ki haktan ibarettir- Allah'a yemin ederim ki, Allah'ın yalan söyleyenlere buğzettiğini öğrendiğim günden beri yalan söylemedim. Yok eğer, beni yalanlıyorsanız, içinizde, sorduğunuzda size doğruyu söyleyecek kimseler vardır.

Câbir bin Abdullah el-Ensarî'ye, Ebu Said el-Hudrî'ye, Sahl b. Sa'd es-Saidî'ye, Zeyd b. Erkam'a ve Enes bin Mâlik'e sorun. Resulüllah (s.a.v.)'in bu sözleri benim ve kardeşim hakkında söylediğini duyduklarını size söyleyeceklerdir. Kanımı dökmenizi engellemeye bu kadar yetmez mi?"

Sonra İmam Hüseyin (a.s.) onlara şöyle dedi:

"Eğer bundan şüphe ediyorsanız, benim Hazreti Peygamberin (s.a.v.) kızının oğlu olduğumdan da mı şüphe ediyorsunuz? Allah'a yemin ederim ki, doğu ve batı arasında, ne sizin içinizde ne de başka topluluklar içerisinde benden başka Peygamberin (s.a.v.) kızının oğlu yoktur.

Yuh olsun size! Sizden birini öldürdüm de mi, buna karşılık beni öldürmek istiyorsunuz? Yoksa birinizin malını mı yedim? Ya da birinizi yaraladım da onun karşılığı olarak mı benim kanımı dökmek istiyorsunuz?"

Hiç kimseden ses çıkmıyordu. Sonra şöyle seslendi:

"Ey Şebes b. Rib'i! Ey Haccar b. Ebcer! Ey Kays b.Eş'as! Ey Yezid b. Hâris! "Meyveler olgunlaştı, etraf yemyeşil kesildi. Gelip seni bekleyen hazır bir ordunun başına geçeceksin" diye bana yazanlar siz değil miydiniz?"

Kays b. Eş'as, "Ne dediğini anlayamıyoruz. Ama amcanın oğlunun egemenliğini kabul et" dedi.

Hüseyin (a.s.) ona şöyle dedi: "Hayır, Allah'a and olsun, size elimi alçaklar gibi vermeyeceğim ve köleler gibi de kaçmayacağım."

Sonra şöyle dedi: "Ey Allah'ın kulları! Beni taşlamanıza karşı, sizin de, benim de Rabbim olan Allah'a sığındım. Hesap gününe inanmayan bütün büyüklük taslayan zorbalardan benim ve sizin Rabbiniz olan Allah'a sığınıyorum!" 

Bazı eserlerde bu konuşmanın içinde bir bölüm olarak şunlar yer almaktadır:

"Ey Allah'ın kulları! Allah'tan korkun, dünyaya karşı ihtiyatlı davranın; eğer bütün dünya bir kişiye kalacak veya bir kişi orada daimî kalacak olsa idi, peygamberler bâki kalmaya  daha layık, riyazetleri, celbedilmeye daha evla ve böyle bir hükme daha uygun olurlardı.

Allah-u Teala dünyayı fâni olmak için yaratmıştır; yenileri eksilir, nimetleri zâil olur, sevinci ise kararır (gam ve üzüntüye dönüşür) dünya engebeli bir menzil ve muvakkat bir evdir. Öyleyse ahiretiniz için azık toplayın; en güzel azık ise sakınmaktır; Allah'tan sakının ta ki, kurtuluşa eresiniz.

Ey insanlar! Allah-u Teala dünyayı, ehlini hâlden hâle sokan fenâ ve zeval yurdu kıldı. Aldanan kimse, dünyaya aldanan, bedbaht da ona bağlanan kimsedir. O hâlde, sakın bu dünya sizi aldatmasın.

Dünya kendisine itimat edenin ümidini kestiği gibi tamah edenin de umudunu boşa çıkarır. Sizin bir iş üzere toplandığınızı görüyorum; bu işle Allah'ı gazaplandırdınız, derken Allah da rahmetini sizden çevirdi ve size azabını gerekli kıldı.

Rabbimiz ne güzel bir Rabdır. Siz ise ne güzel kullarsınız. Allah'ın emrine uymaya ikrar ettiniz ve elçisi olan Hz. Muhammed (s.a.v.)'e de iman getirdiniz. Ama daha sonra torunlarını ve Ehl-i Beyt'ini öldürmek için saldırıya geçtiniz.

Şeytan sizi sarıp kuşatmıştır; böylelikle de size Yüce Allah'ın zikrini unutturmuştur. Allah sizi ve dileğinizi helak etsin. Biz Allah'tanız ve şüphesiz O'na dönücüleriz."      İmam (a.s.) daha sonra şöyle buyurdu: "Bunlar, inandıktan sonra kâfir olan kimselerdir. Bu zâlim kavim, Allah'ın rahmetinden uzak olsun." 

Hikmetler

İmam Hüseyin (a.s.) ne karşısındaki ordudan korkuyor, ne de kıyam kararından vazgeçiyordu. Ancak onda öyle büyük bir Allah korkusu ve hesap verme şuuru vardı ki, karşısındaki askerleri yapacakları katliam için ikaz etmek zorunda hissediyordu. Aşura günü, kendisi için planlanan saldırının vebaline karşı defalarca askerleri uyarmıştır.

İmam Hüseyin (a.s.), ordu savaş pozisyonunu aldıktan sonra ikinci bir hutbe daha irad etti. Bu hutbesini irad etmeden önce düşman kuvvetlerinin susmasını ve kendisini dinlemesini istedi. Ancak bunu başaramadı. O sırada şöyle buyurdu:

"Yazıklar olsun size! Niçin susup da sözlerimi dinlemiyorsunuz? Halbuki ben sizi doğru yola çağırıyorum . Kim bana uyarsa, doğru yolu bulanlardan, bana isyan eden de helak olanlardan olur. Hepiniz emrime muhalefet ediyor ve sözümü de dinlemiyorsunuz.

Evet, aldığınız haram hediyeler ve karnınızı dolduran haram lokmalardan dolayı Allah-u Teala kalplerinizi mühürlemiştir.  Yazıklar olsun size, susmak ve dinlemek nedir bilmez misiniz?"

Bu sözler karşısında, ordu içinde "Niçin susup da sözlerini dinlemiyorsunuz?" diye birbirini kınama başladı. Sükut sağlandı ve İmam Hüseyin (a.s.) sözlerine şöyle devam etti:

"Ey cemaat! Allah sizi helak etsin, kalbinizi kederle doldursun! Şaşkınlık içinde olduğunuz bir hâlde, iştiyakla bizi yardımınıza çağırdınız, olumlu cevap verip süratle imdadınıza koştuk. (ama siz) aleyhimize kılıç çektiniz; ortak düşmanlarınızın çıkardığı fitne ateşini bizim aleyhimize alevlendirdiniz.

Dostlarınızın aleyhine toplanıp, aranızda hiçbir adaleti  yaymayan (yararınıza bir adım dahi atmayan) ve kendilerinden ve dünya malından size ulaştıracakları  haram bir noktadan ve göz diktiğiniz alçak bir yaşayıştan başka hiç bir şey ummadığınız düşmanlarınıza destek oldunuz.

Birazcık yavaş olun. Yazıklar olsun size! Bizden hiçbir şey vâki olmaksızın ve hiçbir hatalı görüş görülmeksizin  horlanıp bizi terk ettiniz.

Kılıçlar kınında kalpler huzur içerisinde ve reyler sağlam olduğunda çekirge gibi süratle bize yöneldiniz ve sinekler gibi başımıza üşüştünüz.

Yüzünüz kara olsun! Şüphesiz sizler ümmetin tağutu, Kur'an'ı terk eden fâsık hiziplerin en son pislikleri, şeytanın balgamı kimselersiniz. Siz Kitabı tahrif eden, Sünneti söndüren, Peygamberin (s.a.v.) evlatlarını öldüren, vasilerin neslini kesen, zinazedeleri nesebe ilhak eden, mü'minleri inciten ve Kur'an'ı parçalayan alaycı önderlerin imdadına koşan kimselersiniz.

Sizler şimdi İbn-i Harb'a (Muaviye oğlu Yezid'e) ve onlara uyanlara itimad edip bize yardımda bulunmuyorsunuz. Allah'a and olsun ki, yardım etmemek ve hilekârlık sizin en bâriz sıfatlarınızdandır; damar ve kökleriniz onun üzerine boy salmış, dal ve gövdeniz onu miras edinmiş, gönülleriniz bu kınanmış âdet üzere rüşd etmiş, kalpleriniz bu sıfatlarla dolmuştur.

Siz bağ bekçisinin boğazında kalan veya gasıb bir kimsenin tatlı bir lokması olan habis bir meyve gibisiniz.

Allah'ın laneti, anlaşma kesinleştikten sonra Allah'ı kefil kılmakla birlikte onu bozanların üzerine olsun! Allah'a and olsun ki, sizler işte o kimselersiniz. Bilin ki, zinazede oğlu zinazede (Ubeydullah bin Ziyad) bizi iki şey; kılıç ve zillet arasında bırakmıştır; zillet ise bizden uzaktır…

Ne Allah, ne Peygamberi ve ne de mü'minler bunu kabul ederler ve ne de pâk ve tâhir olan anneler ve izzet-i nefsi olan kimseler, alçak kimselerin itaatını, kerim kişilerin katligâhına tercih etmeyi revâ görürler.

Bilin ki, ben hücceti tamamladım ve size olan inzar görevi mi yerine getirdim. Ben aile efradımın azalmasına ve yardımcıların da yardım etmemesine rağmen hedefime doğru yürümekte devam edeceğim."

İmam (a.s.) bu sırada şu şiiri okudu:

"Eğer düşmanı yenersek, zaten önceden de yeniktiler.
Ama eğer yenilirsek, yine gerçekte yenilmiş biz değiliz.

Biz korkaklık nedir bilmeyiz fakat başımıza bir takım olaylar gelmiş, devlet başkalarının eline geçmiştir.

Bizi alaya almak isteyenlere de ki, kendinize gelin. Çünkü bizim uğradığımız şeye onlar da uğrayacaktır.

Ölüm, devesini birisinin kapısından kaldırdığında şüphesiz diğerlerinin kapısına yatıracaktır."

Daha sonra İmam (a.s.) şöyle buyurdu:

"Bilin, Allah'a and olsun ki, bu savaştan sonra siz ancak süvarinin bineğine bindiği bir süre miktarınca eğlenip durursunuz (arzularınıza ulaşırsınız). Nitekim olaylar, bir değirmenin döndüğü gibi sizi döndürür ve bir eksenin sarsıntısı gibi sizi sarsıp mustarip eder. İşte bu, babam Ali (a.s.)'ın, ceddim Resulüllah (s.a.v.)'den naklettiği bir vasiyettir."

Ve İmam Hüseyin (ra), ellerini göğe kaldırıp, Ömer b. Sa'd'ın ordusuna şöyle beddua etti:

"Allah'ım! Onlara bir damla olsun yağmur yağdırma! Onlara Yusuf'un yılları gibi (zor ve kurak) yıllar yaşat, onlara, Sakifli genci (Muhtar veya Haccac) musallat kıl ki, acı (zillet ) kabıyla onları doyursun (onlara kan kustursun) ve onlardan hiç birisini cezasız bırakmasın; katledenleri katletsin, vuranlarını ise vursun; böylece onlardan Ehl-i Beyt'imin ve sevenlerimin intikamını alsın!

Zira onlar bizi tekzip ettiler (düşmanlar karşısında bize yardımda bulunmadılar). Ey Allah'ım! Sen bizim Rabbimizsin, Sana tevekkül ederiz. Şüphesiz ki, dönüşümüz Sanadır." 

İmam Hüseyin (a.s.) savaşın her an başlayacağı bu ortamda irad ettiği hutbeleri ile vazifesini tamamlamıştı. Son olarak Ömer b. Sa'd'ın ordusuna, "… Zorbalardan benim ve sizin Rabbimiz olan Allah'a sığınıyorum" dedi. 

İmam Hüseyin'in (as) bu son hutbesi ve ikazının içeriği, kendisinin ve ashabının hangi gerekçelerle canları pahasına hakkı ayakta tuttuğunu ve karşısındaki bâtıl ve zalim güruhun vaziyetinin ne olduğunu anlamak bakımından da mânidârdır.  (Prof. Dr. Haydar Baş İmam Hüseyin eserinden)

"Allah has permitted me and you to die today, so resist and fight against the enemy."

It was now certain that war was inevitable. The deadline was over and the army took the offensive position. At this moment, Imam Hussein (a.s.), begging his Lord, opened his hands and prayed as follows:

"My God! You are my assurance in every sorrow. You are my hope in every hardship. You are my assurance and equipment in every issue that confronts me.

I presented to You, turning to you, turning away from others and complaining to you about many disasters that weaken the heart, make people helpless, and cause friends to flee and enemies to make a fuss. You saved me from these disasters, you showed me the way out. You are the guardian of every blessing, the owner of every beauty and the authority of every desire."

He also addressed his companions, who were ready to die, as follows:

"O Kerimzades! Be patient, death is nothing but a bridge that takes you through hardship and adversity and brings you to a vast paradise and permanent blessings.

Which of you doesn't like going from dungeon to palace? However, death is like going from palace to dungeon and torment for your enemies.

My father narrated from the Messenger of Allah (pbuh):

"The world is a prison for a believer and a paradise for an unbeliever. Death is a bridge that takes believers to their paradise and unbelievers to their hell. I have neither heard nor spoken lies."

Armies are organized

Imam Hussein (a.s.) started to form the defense line after the speech he gave to his companions after the morning prayer.

He gave the right wing of the army to Zuhayr bin Kayn, the left arm to Habib bin Mezahir, and the banner to his brother Abbas. He gathered the rest of the household together with himself in the center.

While the Imam was making these preparations for his army, the army of tens of thousands of people under the command of Omar bin Sa'd also took the offensive position. Seeing this scene, Imam Husayn (a.s.) opened his hands to God Almighty and asked for help:

"My God! You are my refuge in every sorrow and sorrow, my hope in every trouble and difficulty, and I trust in every calamity. There are many sorrows and calamities that redeem hearts, block the ways of salvation, kidnap friends and make enemies happy; I gave up hope of others and turned to You and complained to You. "

Addressing the army of Omar bin Sa'd

Umar b. The situation of those in Sa'd's army was as follows: "They all thought that they would get closer to Allah by shedding the blood of Husayn (a.s.)."

While both sides were making their final preparations, a flood of people in front of Imam Hussein (a.s.) gave advice to the army again.

Leaving their tents, he approached the enemy soldiers in front of him and gave them the following warnings on his horse:

"O people! Listen to me; do not rush to war unless you listen to my advice and advice to you and learn the reason why I came to this region.

If you accept my evidence, confirm my statement, and act justly towards me, you will find the path to happiness, and there will be no reason to fight me anymore.

If you do not accept my evidence, so that your work does not cause you grief and sadness, gather your partners together, reflect and implement the decision you have made about me. Don't turn an eye on me.

Surely, my helper is Allah, who sent down the Qur'an. And He is the helper of the righteous slaves."

Imam Husayn (a.s.) then praised Allah; After saluting the Messenger of Allah (pbuh), he continued:

"Now research my ancestry and see who I am? Then be alone with your conscience and blame yourself. See if it's okay for you to kill me?

Am I not the son of your Prophet's (pbuh) daughter? Am I not the son of the first believer Ali (a.s.), the successor of your Prophet (pbuh), the first to confirm that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) brought it from Allah?

Isn't Hamza, the lord of martyrs, my uncle? Didn't you hear the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) say about me and my brother, "These two are the masters of the youth of Paradise"?

If you are confirming what I say - which is the truth - I swear by Allah that I have not lied since the day I learned that Allah hates those who lie. But if you deny me, there are people among you who will tell you the truth when you ask.

Jabir bin Abdullah al-Ansari, Abu Said al-Khudri, Sahl b. Sa'd es-Saidî, Zayd b. Ask Erkam and Enes bin Malik. They will tell you what they heard the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said about me and my brother. Isn't that enough to keep you from spilling my blood?"

Then Imam Husayn (a.s.) said to them:

"If you doubt this, it is because I am the son of the daughter of the Prophet (pbuh).

"If you doubt this, do you also doubt that I am the son of the daughter of the Prophet (pbuh)? I swear by Allah, there is no son of the daughter of the Prophet's (pbuh) daughter other than me, neither among you nor among other communities.

Woe to you! Did I kill one of you, but you want to kill me in return? Or did I eat someone's property? Or did I hurt one of you and you want to shed my blood in return?"

No one was making a sound. Then he called out:

"O Shabes b. Rib'i! O Hajjar b. Ebcer! O Kays b. Esh'as! O Yazid b. Haris! "The fruits have ripened, the surroundings have turned green. Aren't you the ones who wrote to me that you will come and lead a ready army waiting for you?

Kays b. Eş'as said, "We cannot understand what he is saying. But accept the sovereignty of your uncle's son."

Husayn (a.s.) said to him: "No, by Allah, I will not give you my hand like a scoundrel and I will not run away like a slave."

Then he said: "O servants of Allah! I took refuge in Allah, my Lord and yours, against your stoning me. I seek refuge in Allah, my Lord and your Lord, from all arrogant tyrants who do not believe in the Day of Judgment!"

Some works include the following as a part of this speech:

"O servants of Allah! Fear Allah, be wary of the world; if the whole world were to be left to one person or if one person were to stay there permanently, the prophets would be more worthy of remaining, their obedience better to be summoned, and more suitable for such a decree. .

Allah Almighty created the world to be mortal; new ones decrease, their blessings disappear, their joy fades (turns into sorrow and sadness), the world is a bumpy destination and a temporary house. So gather provisions for your Hereafter; the best food is to abstain; Fear Allah, that you may be successful.

O people! Allah Ta'ala has made the world a home of evil and desolation, which makes its people depressed. The deceived person is the one who is deceived by the world, and the unfortunate one clings to it. So, do not let this world deceive you.

As the world loses the hope of those who rely on it, it also destroys the hope of those who are greedy. I see that you are gathered for a business; You angered Allah with this act, then Allah turned His mercy away from you and made His punishment necessary for you.

What a beautiful Lord our Lord is. What good servants you are. You have confessed to obey the order of Allah and Hz. You also brought faith to Muhammad (pbuh). But then you went on the offensive to kill their grandchildren and Ahl al-Bayt.

Satan has surrounded you; thereby making you forget the remembrance of Almighty Allah. God bless you and your wishes. We are from Allah and we will certainly return to Him." The Imam (a.s.) then said: "These are people who disbelieved after believing. May this cruel people stay away from Allah's mercy."

Imam Hussein (a.s.) was neither afraid of the army in front of him nor was he giving up on his decision to stand. However, he had such a great fear of God and a sense of accountability that he felt compelled to warn the soldiers in front of him for the massacre they would do. On the day of Ashura, he repeatedly warned the soldiers against the evil of the attack planned for him.

Imam Hussein (a.s.) delivered a second sermon after the army took the position of battle. Before delivering this sermon, he asked the enemy forces to shut up and listen to him. However, he failed to do so. At that time he said:

"Woe to you! Why don't you keep silent and listen to my words? However, I call you to the right path. Whoever follows me will be among those who have found the right path, and those who rebel against me will be destroyed. You all oppose my order and do not listen to my words.

Yes, Allah has sealed your hearts because of the haram gifts you have received and the haram food that fills your stomach. Shame on you, don't you know what it is to be silent and listen?"

In the face of these words, "Why don't you shut up and listen to his words?" they began to condemn each other. Silence was achieved and Imam Hussein (a.s.) continued his words as follows:

"O community! May Allah destroy you and fill your heart with sorrow! In a state of bewilderment, you eagerly called us to your aid, we responded in the affirmative and quickly rushed to your aid. (but you) drew a sword against us; you kindled the fire of sedition against us, which your common enemies set off.

You supported your enemies, who gathered against your friends and did not spread any justice among you (who did not even take a step for your benefit) and for whom you hoped for nothing but a forbidden place that they and worldly goods would deliver to you, and a low life that you coveted.

Be a little slow. Shame on you! You disdained and abandoned us, without anything happening from us and without any erroneous opinion.

When the hearts are at peace with the swords in the scabbard and the votes are strong, you turned towards us as fast as grasshoppers and swarmed us like flies.

Let your face be black! Undoubtedly, you are the taghut of the ummah, of the wicked factions who abandoned the Qur'an.

Let your face be black! Undoubtedly, you are the taghut of the ummah, the last filth of the wicked factions that abandoned the Qur'an, and the phlegm of the devil. You are the ones who falsify the Book, extinguish the Sunnah, kill the sons of the Prophet (pbuh), cut off the descendants of the successors, join the adulterers to the lineage, hurt the believers and come to the rescue of the cynical leaders who disintegrate the Qur'an.

Now you don't help us by relying on Ibn Harb (Yezid, son of Muawiya) and those who follow them. By Allah, not helping and deceit are among your most obvious attributes; Your veins and roots have grown over it, your branches and trunk have inherited it, your hearts have come of age according to this condemned custom, and your hearts are filled with these attributes.

You are like a vicious fruit that is stuck in the throat of a vineyard keeper or a sweet morsel of a usurped person.

May Allah's curse be upon those who broke the contract after making Allah a guarantor! By Allah, you are those people. Know that in adultery, the son of adultery (Ubeydullah bin Ziyad) us two things; between the sword and the disgrace; humiliation is far from us…

Neither Allah, nor His Prophet, nor the believers accept this, nor do the pure and pure mothers and the self-respecting people prefer the obedience of lowly people to the slaughter of virtuous people.

Know that I have completed the proof and fulfilled my duty of warning to you. I will continue to walk towards my goal, even though my family members are decreasing and the assistants are not helping."

Imam (a.s.) recited the following poem:

"If we beat the enemy, they've already been defeated before.
But if we are defeated, again we are not really defeated.

We do not know what cowardice is, but some events have happened to us, the state has passed into the hands of others.

Say to those who want to ridicule us, come to yourselves. Because they will suffer what we went through.

When death lifts his camel from one's door, he will no doubt lay it at the door of others."

Then Imam (a.s.) said:

"Know, by Allah, after this battle, you will only have fun (reaching your desires) for as long as the cavalry mounts his mount. As a matter of fact, events will turn you like a mill and shake you like an axis. This is it. It is a testament that my father Ali (a.s.) conveyed from my grandfather, the Messenger of Allah (pbuh).

And Imam Husayn (ra), raising his hands to the sky, Umar b. He cursed Sa'd's army as follows:

"O Allah! Don't make them rain even a drop! Let them live (difficult and dry) years like the years of Yusuf, and let the young man from Sakif (Muhtar or Hajjaj) haunt them so that he can feed them with his bitter (disgrace) container (make them vomit blood)" ) and not let any of them go unpunished; let him kill those who killed them, and shoot those who hit, so that he can avenge my Ehl-i Bayt and my loved ones from them!

Because they denied us (they did not help us against the enemies). O my God! You are our Lord, we put our trust in You. Undoubtedly, our return is to You."

Imam Hussein (a.s.) had completed his duty with his sermons in this environment where the war would start at any moment. Finally, Umar b. He said to Sa'd's army, "... I seek refuge in Allah, my Lord and yours, from the tyrants."

The content of this last sermon and warning of Imam Hussein (as) is also meaningful in terms of understanding the reasons why he and his companions uphold the truth at the expense of their lives, and what is the situation of the false and cruel mob in front of him.
